I kinda wanted to blog for the week past, but I thought it might take a little too long to pen and too lengthy to read. Whichever's the case, I lost an uncle, and was helping out for the last few days. Hence, the incommunique. Like I mentioned to someone, it's a loss that cannot be helped, but certainly a loss that we can do without. I'm beat mentally, although the freshness of the morning does someone calms. Till the next petal falls.
In case you're wondering why I always title in caps, that's because it's the title.
Duh.
I'm getting a little upset with my lyrical indulgence. Can't seem to match a neatness into the melody all the same. Perhaps I've grown beyond my own habits to know what is wiser. It's not that I cannot write, I seem to be writing more than I should.
And the frustration gets blown out of proportion with a really simple messy desktop at the moment. I've got more stickies stuck in all over with more words than I can count.
The saddest part is not to know it too late, its not knowing it in the first place. I never knew how much indifference there were for the rest of the world while America took a fist fight with itself when Bush was in the hot seat. Perhaps, it is only for the better that he had left.
We just got off a charity concert in aid of the Sri Lankan victims caught in the warzone. Played some music to help raise funds. But, guess it wasn't nearly enough. My heart weighs a little heavy tonight.
I'm kinda waiting for time to pass before I head off to the studio with a whole bunch of equipment. It's been mostly an uneventful day, save for me trying to avoid mom for the time being, seems like she needs someone to vent her frustrations on LOL.
side stepping like a move
spinning round the hall of fame
junkies like a groove
stubbing out the cigarette light
leaping through the roof
finding hard to satisfy
only leaves a time
clear as day and bright as light
gotta get away
black and white
something's not right
maybe its time to say goodbye
like black and white
nothing sits fine
maybe someday we be back in the limelight
slip through me tonight
make my heart feel right
something's better to burn out than fight
no, please don't hate nor cry
cos god knows when i'll die
till then i will learn how where and when or why
Got off a pretty long weekend, and Monday frankly. Not that I've done much, but yes, I've put off too much work to begin with. I'm not exactly lazy, but moodless would be a very accurate keyword.
I know I've been neglecting a lot of stuff lately, but yes, at least I'm focused now, and certainly getting back on track.
Ordered mom a small table bouquet for Mother's Day on Saturday. She received them on Saturday evening, and flew me a call immediately with a really loud thank you over the phone. LOL. Cute la she. She's happy, but trying way too hard to hide it. =)
Saw Godpa over the weekend to, seems well and fine. Tired, but at least happy to be of service. I wish him and his family well.
Happy Vesak Day, and Happy Mother's Day to you if you celebrate either or both yeah. Cheers.
I spent the last 2 nights cleaning out the spam messages... gosh... 1,000+ of them... seems like some live porn website got hitched with one of the posts, possibly through RSS feed of some sort. This is nuts man.
Anyway, had a good chat with the FT (Foodie Traitor) earlier on, and I suddenly got very grounded. For reasons below already knowing, things we discussed were simply to reaffirm the analness of the situation on hand. Either way, good thing I've learnt to invest time in things that are genuinely decided upon, rather than empty talk. Was nice.
I have this sudden surge of a headache, not sure why. My best bet is simply too much smokes. Got to fix that soon. And the lightning and thunder get-up by the weather is a real treat tonight.
Okay folks, I'm sorry to do this but due to massive spamming of useless messages... 986+ to be exact... I'm temporarily limiting the comments to people in my friends list on tblog. You can always add me as a friend if you have something to say. I'll try get a chat box up ASAP.
LOL. Before I get to the star picture of the year, some really old and faithful friends dropped in over the weekend to strut their stuff! I didn't manage too many pictures cos I was busy behind the desk. Anyway, some random shots that I did manage to get:
Guess who!
Sorry Tim! The phone cam requires subjects to freeze before a shot... :/
My favorite pic: Illyas and his "did I do that?!" expression! Timeless~
And Jon's Nikon is really cool!
So there, Tim, Illyas and Jon from Mistaken Identity popped in to do a quick track while Jon's back from Holland for a short break. It's always nice to catch up with the dudes, given the last I saw any of them in person was almost 2 years ago! Nonetheless, I wish them well, and I love the track!
And now, to unveil the picture of the year:
The miniature arrow sign.
Folks, I couldn't stop laughing with Clay and Mich in the car when I saw this - it was one of the tiniest road signs I've ever seen on the roads around here! I mean... it's really small, although the picture don't quite tell it. If you compare with the standard sized road sign just a few feet behind, you'd know this one's pretty small, probably slightly smaller than half the size of a standard one!
I've no idea why it's that small, perhaps to avoid blocking motorists' view of on-coming traffic... but... this is just too cute to give a miss!
Well, it made my day. Gosh... a road sign made my day! LOL
Almost 300 spam comments on one single post, 2 minutes apart, started on Thursday at about 11am in the morning. I have no idea why, but somebody really had time to just sit and scour for victim sites to wreck. Perhaps in this very twisted world, their existence make it so.
Anyway, I finally remembered this nice classic take on robotics. Retro perhaps to some of you, but this was a milestone that kicked up a fuss and had copies world over ever since it was created.
